Write Better Emails with Copilot Coach in Outlook

Wouldn't it be amazing if we had a copywriter or an email marketing wizard sitting on our shoulder every time we draft an email, making sure that it's pitched just right for the recipient? Well, let me introduce you to Copilot Coach. Copilot Coach serves as a personalised assistant helping you communicate more clearly and effectively across Microsoft 365 applications.

It provides intelligent context aware suggestions to help you improve the clarity, tone, and effectiveness of your content. We simply need to draft an email and then click on Home, Copilot and Coaching. Copilot will analyse your email draft and suggest improvements to the to reader sentiment and clarity.

Have a read through the suggestions, and if you like what it's produced, click Apply all suggestions. Copilot will generate a new version of the email for you to check, and it'll be generated as a version two, so choose the version you want to keep or make further modifications using the menu options below.

And just like that you have the perfectly crafted email with the appropriate tone and clarity.

Copilot Coach helps refine your message so it’s clear, appropriate, and well-pitched for the reader. Think of it as your built-in email writing advisor across Microsoft 365 apps.

Write your draft email as you normally would.
Go to the Home tab, click Copilot, then select Coaching.
Review the suggestions for improving tone, clarity, and sentiment.
Click Apply all suggestions if you’re happy with the feedback.
Copilot will generate a Version 2 of your email based on the updates.
